WE CAN ACHIEVE A BUSINESS FRIENDLY WASHINGTON STATE!

Washington State should be the favorite destination of business.  We have an incredible quality of life and an affordable cost of living.  We have a highly educated population and an incredible amount of natural resources.  We have ideal access to all four major forms of transport, and we are the gateway to Asia.  Rather than view business as a benefit to our society, our “leaders” in Olympia views business as the enemy.   We need true leadership to combat this matter in Olympia, and I am the candidate that will provide that leadership.  Please take a moment to review my plan and give me your feedback on this issue.

Business Reform should include:

1. Immediate repeal of the B&O Tax.  We need to stop punishing business for simply  existing in the State of Washington

2. Repeal all taxes, except for property taxes, on business.  Every dollar that we take  away from business is a dollar that business cannot use to reinvest in the  community.     That investment can take many shapes including: more hiring, additional benefits, new tools and equipment, or philanthropy in the community. 

3. Ease regulatory burdens on employers. 

4. Privatize L&I insurance.  We are one of only four states who have a government  monopoly on Workers’ Compensation Insurance.

5. Streamline of all state issued permits and fees.  All permits applied for should be issued or rejected within 2 weeks of their application.  The total fees associated with those permits should not exceed 1% of the cost of the project.

6. Eliminate all “Sin Taxes.”  Washington should not be in the business of social  engineering.

7. Repeal Washington State’s Growth Management Act

8. Privatize the sale of Liquor in the State of Washington

9. Actively recruit new business to the State of Washington by highlighting our new  and more friendly business policies, rather than offering unfair incentives.
